You've got something to say! Whether you choose to explore writing fiction or memoir, Robyn can help you find your voice and fine tune your writing. With inspiring exercises and encouragement, you’ll learn the elements and techniques of strong writing. This class will help you focus and follow through on your writing goals. Please bring 8 copies of a creative writing piece to class of up to 1000 words. 

I will teach for the first hour, then we'll listen to you read your stories and will help you with suggested edits for the second half of class. We have time for half the class to read one week; the other half, the next week. Come and discover the joy of writing!

About Robyn Ringler

 Robyn Ringler, a resident of Ballston Lake, NY, graduated from the University of Tampa MFA program in June 2015 with a concentration in fiction. Faculty presented her with the “Outstanding Graduate Award” for academic excellence. Her collection of short stories, Occupational Hazards, was completed as her thesis. She owns East Line Literary Arts, providing creative writing classes, seminars, and editing services in upstate New York and online. Ringler’s publications include essays in anthologies: Women’s Letters: America from the Revolutionary War to the Present and Stories of Illness and Healing: Women Write Their Bodies. She has read essays on NPR’s The Health Show and 51%, as well as Martha Stewart Radio and was granted an award for outstanding fiction by the Storytelling Center of NYC. Robyn is also a registered nurse and attorney.

 College Application Essay
Cost: $125
Classes are held privately and by appointment. Cost includes three meetings and continued followed up until the essay is complete. During the appointments, you will learn to write a college essay that is original and compelling—one that makes you stand out. You will explore topics, learn how to present ideas in clear, engaging language, learn the best way to structure your essay, and, most important, learn how to revise (and revise and revise) your essay until it reaches its full potential.
 Manuscript editing including line edits and an assessment of character development, plot, etc. Robyn will help you prepare your manuscript for an agent or publisher.
