About Robyn Ringler
  Robyn Ringler is a writer, lawyer, nurse and the owner of East Line Books in Clifton Park.  Her articles have been published in the Albany Times Union, Newark Star-Ledger and have been sent out over the New York Times wire.  Robyn’s Letter to Al Pacino appears in Women’s Letters:  America from the Revolutionary War to the Present published by Dial Press.  Her essay Dissection was  published in Stories of Illness and Healing: Women Write Their Bodies published by Kent State University Press.  She has written regularly for Nursing Spectrum and has read her essays on WAMC’s The Round Table and NPR’s The Health Show and 51%, as well as Martha Stewart Radio.  Robyn is currently studying creative writing in a Masters of Fine Arts program at the University of Tampa and she earned a certificate in creative writing from the Gotham Writers Workshop in New York City.

For Homeschoolers
Grades 4-12

These writing classes, taught by Robyn Ringler, are designed to instill in your child or teen an absolute joy of creative writing. No writing experience is necessary and each student will have fun whether they come into the class loving or hating writing. Within the supportive environment of the East Line Books classroom, Robyn will lead each class through- sometimes hilarious, sometimes serious- writing exercises, games, and lessons on particular writing skills that will help them enjoy writing- and do it well- for the rest of their lives. These classes will cover fiction writing and memoir writing.

Creative Writing
For Grades 4 and Up
Classes for grades 4 and up will begin in the new year.

College Application Essay
Cost: $95
Classes are held privately and by appointment. Cost includes three meetings and continued followed up until the essay is complete. During the appointments, you will learn to write a college essay that is original and compelling—one that makes you stand out. You will explore topics, learn how to present ideas in clear, engaging language, learn the best way to structure your essay, and, most important, learn how to revise (and revise and revise) your essay until it reaches its full potential.
 Manuscript editing including line edits and an assessment of character development, plot, etc. Robyn will help you prepare your manuscript for an agent or publisher.
